Today we as a community laid to rest a second Police officer which was senselessly killed recently. We not only lost two men who made it their lives to serve and protect us and our way of life. We lost two members of our communities, fathers, husbands, sons, leaving families with a lost that can never be repaired.
We salute you for your service and mourn your loss today. May your families feel the prayers from the community sent to them.
Being in the EMS field, I have lost both friends and co workers as well as other officers to such senseless acts. It is a feeling and a pain which can not be taken away. Just time and talking to people, lets you control the feeling of loss. To stand at attention in dress whites as the possession slowly rolls by. Brings you a feeling of loss and pride at the same time, knowing that your friend gave their all to a job everyday until it was taken away. Till this day I can remember the day I found out of my friends passing. Held medics as they cried after busting ass on our friends. Never will I forget those pure emotions of loss regret and love from those medics.
Just a place for me to express my views, thoughts and opinions about…well anything I want. I do so welcome your thoughts, right wrong or just plan useless as they may be.

EMS Song
Okay here is a song that was written by yours truly and the good Rev Randy. Imagine two fat bastards drunk signing at Tricous on Bourbon Street. It goes a little like this.
New Orleans Health Department EMS Rap
See the red lights who can it be
It's the red and white lights of the NOHD
coming to the aid of someone ill
prolonging life is what we do well
say twenty four hours seven days a week
we're saving lives even as we speak
So dig the rap and feel the groove
call 911 and we'll work for you!
There were three person people in an mva
sitting in their car complaining of
NECK Pain
so they called for a unit from the NOHD,
so we took them all to Touro
that's right all three!!!
They call me the Pooh
I'm the para dude
I'll be pushing the drugs
and I'll be working on you
They call me a medic I'm an EMT
I drive this bus for that's what pleases me,
They laugh and say that I'm just an A
but it's me They call to save their day!!
Just was thinking of old times and this lil diddly came to mind. No it is not suppose to be grammatically correct!!!
