Holidays

Okay I do believe we as a society have become to materialistic about some things. It may just be me, but I remember a time in which you have the chance to enjoy every Holiday season before being bombarded with the next. Now a days the financial aspect that each Holiday brings has become the only thing looked at. Let’s take a look at the Halloween through Christmas time.
The ghost and goblins haven’t even been scared away by the witches and warlocks yet. But yet the stores have begun to remove all the costumes, candies and trinkets which had anything to do with Halloween. They have already begun to put up Christmas items in the store! Are you kidding me!!
The whole celebrating of our country becoming as we know it, no longer seems important. We had a very important dinner many years ago to give thanks for our new world, new land and new way of life. If you didn’t happen to see that one small space in the back corner of some store you would never know it. Of course except that fact you cant go near the meat isle of a grocery store with out tripping over, jacked up priced Turkeys!
Let’s at least let each of our Holidays come and go before promoting the next. Sure celebrating the birth of Christ is a very important thing, if that was what we do. It is truly sad we have discarded the true meaning of Christmas. Nah Ole Saint Nick and buy buy buy support the economy is the only thing everyone looks at. Don’t even get me started on those that feel that decorating their homes before Thanksgiving is necessary! Slow down and enjoy the reason for each season before getting all caught up in the next one.
